Volunteer with Envirothon BC !

Share your knowledge of environmental issues and the natural world with curious students. Foster youth involvement in local conservation initiatives and start youth on the path towards active roles in their communities.

Envirothon BC relies on its volunteers to provide valuable environmental education to high school students. In return, the volunteers gain invaluable experience in a non-profit environment. There are several ways to get involved as an Envirothon BC volunteer:

Station Leader: Introduce students to the basics of fieldwork. Lead interactive outdoor activities for one or more of Envirothon's topics (Aquatic Ecology, Soils, Forest Ecology, Wildlife, Mapping).

Commitment: Must be available during the Fieldwork weekend and/or the Provincial Competition (Late April or Early May 2015).

Qualifications: Background in Natural Sciences or Environmental Studies.

Fundraiser: Research funding opportunities. Write grant proposals and contact potential sponsors. Must have excellent communication skills.

Commitment: Approximately 4 hrs/week for a minimum of 3 months. (Work may be done from home)

If you would like to contribute in an area not specifically mentioned, or you would like more information on the opportunities listed above, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
